New England tied their top unbeaten stretch from the Brady era as they beat division rivals the Jets by 13 points in professional football

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson was the standout with three TDs as the New England squad secured an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since iconic QB Tom Brady's closing campaign with the team in 2019

Signal-caller Maye threw for 281 yards and a TD, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts

The triumph extends the New England's advantage at the summit of the division as they advanced to a 9-2 record, with the Jets at the foot after slipping to two victories and eight defeats

The Jets had scored first at Gillette Stadium with QB Fields rushing for a short rushing score to cap the Jets' first possession

But the New England responded in the second period as Henderson ran in two short rushing scores before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Maye at the rear of the end zone halfway into the third period to extend the lead to 21-7

"That was a big time for him delivering, and it's been fantastic for him to keep gaining experience," Maye commented on the rookie. "He aims to be excellent."

Justin Fields found Metchie late in the third period to close the gap for the Jets but Andy Borregales booted a pair of field goals in the final period as the home side closed out the victory
